Summary[]

100 years after settlers on the continent of Patria established a democratic nation, the discovery of an energy source called Somnium ore sparked a conflict.The nation of Patria split between the industrial Northern Union and the mining towns of the Southern Confederation, and began fighting a war. While the South had greater numbers, the North had a secret weapon: The Incarnates, soldiers who could transform into giant mythical beasts and single-handedly destroy enemy emplacements.

However, when the war ended and a peace treaty was negotiated, it did not bring true peace to the people. Because Incarnates will not only change their appearance when using their power, they will also lose their humanity and persecute humans. As a result, Incarnates will be discriminated against by humans, and will even be killed by a man who was once the captain of the Incarnates force but is now a Beast Hunter for hunting. Only a few Incarnates choose to live in seclusion to avoid being hunted or pursue survival by following a man who is related to a man who is a beast hunter and will release Incarnates into beasts into the world.

All Incarnates must learn how to survive in a peaceful society and coexist with humans, and someone must find a way and make an antidote to turn them back into humans, otherwise the Incarnates will face being killed by humans. Two months later, A girl named Nancy Schaal Bancroft is the daughter of an Incarnate soldier. Not long after her father was hunted by a Beast Hunter, she decided to find the Beast Hunter to seek revenge and find out the reason.But when the girl met the Beast Hunter, she gradually saw clearly the true identity of the Beast Hunter, the reason why she was chasing a man who freed the beast, and the past behind him. She also discovered that many people who had to choose to become Incarnates and wanted to survive Human experience of cruelty. In order to find out all the truth and solve all the answers, Schaal is determined to follow the beast hunters to hunt down the Incarnates who are causing trouble in the world and also find out the truth.

What is the sad past behind this man who is also an Incarnate and transformed into a "Beast Hunter" who hunts Incarnates that turn into "beasts"? In the long journey and ending of hunting down the "beasts" turned into Incarnates, can he get a glimmer of redemption, everything called "hope" and survival? What changes will his encounter with the girl bring? And what is the purpose of the mysterious man who liberated the Incarnates who turned into "beasts"? What kind of ulterior grudge does he have with the "Beast Hunter" man? Can all the Incarnates who were once regarded as "heroes" but have turned into "beasts" due to discrimination and persecution now have the opportunity to be redeemed, coexist peacefully with humans, and turn back into humans?
