Miles Byron (マイルズ ・バイロン , Mairuzu Bairon) is a Centaurus Incarnate and member of Incarnate Soldier Unit during the War.

Appearance

In his Incarnate form, his upper body is human while his lower body is a horse. While the upper body appear human, in scale it matches with the lower body, which give anyone who face the Centaurus an uneasy sense that something is amiss.

Personality

He used to be a nice man. He enjoy the gratitude of the townspeople and those who got saved by him. He always feel guilty for sending the soldiers that he has treated to the battlefield, feeling helpless about it and start to question his purpose in his work.

After he has become an Incarnate, he started to enjoy the scream of those who face him, and even stated that scream and thanks always go with him no matter what he do.

Abilities

Enhanced Strength: Because his upper body is matches with the lower body, his strength also increase in his Incarnate form. He normally use bows and arrows that is larger than normal, and he also use a spear that allow him to impale any enemy.

Enhanced Agility: His main abilities. The lower body of a horse allow him to move fast in the battlefield. Combine his speed and his strength, he can easily disrupt the enemy ranks. He can charge at high speed to attack the enemy with the spear, then retreat with the same speed and use the bow from the most tactical locations.

Enhanced Regeneration: Even when being shoot by multiple bullet, he can regenerate almost immediately. After the war, it seem that his regeneration has grown even more, making him practically immortal.

Enhanced Stamina: His vitality is higher than average. He can immediately move after he has regenerated.

Expert Marksmanship: According to him, he can hit the mark every single time, even when the enemy is at very far. He can shoot from Bold Creek and kill a scout soldier in the mountain. However, he can't shoot in the dark.

Medical Knowledge: Before he became an Incarnate, he is a doctor, and he good enough to make a name for himself as healer in the war. Even after he become an Incarnate, he still treats the soldiers in Bold Creek Fort.

Equipment

Spear: He carries a spear which he used to impale the enemy.

Bow and arrows: He carries a bow and arrows that is customize for his size. For unknown reason, he can't use gun.

History

Past

Miles come from a family of doctors. He open a clinic in a town, and enjoy helping people. When the war came, Miles joined the army to lend a hand and cure soldiers. In that place, Miles saw the truth of war. He still gave his all to the work, but when a soldier that he previously treated die in the war, he started to question his purpose. After that, Miles join the Incarnate program and become an Incarnate.

Bold Creek

After the war ended, Miles join Cain Madhouse who are the leader and create New Patria. He killed every scouts that were sent to Bold Creek. He then go back to the fort and talk to Cain about how thankful he is to escape the peacetime and about how Hank is coming. When Coup de Grace start a night attack, the Centaurus appear and start attacking them. At first, he shoot with arrows, but in the dark he can't aim very well, so he charge in rage with his spear and impale several soldiers, while also threaten them by calling himself Death. Hank attack him from behind, but he kick Hank with his left leg so Hank retreat and run into the forest. He chases after Hank but got caught in the steel wire, then the soldiers start to shoot him, but he immediately regenerate and run away. He then ask Hank if he really want to kill his old comrade, then retreat to Bold Creek.

Miles killed the northern soldiers.

After he return to Bold Creek Fort, he started to treat the soldiers who got injured. When Coup de Grace attack Bold Creek Fort, he attack them with the bow first, then charging in with the spear and dropping grenades in the trenches. He then engage in battle with Hank. Hank managed to trap him in the mud that was form due to the grenades and the rain. Hank sent signal for the other soldiers to fire cannon at him, heavily injured him. Unbeknown to both him and Hank, the cannon carry poison of the Hydra, which the military developed the highly toxic gas bomb "Alphahard" by studying the corpse of Hydra Incarnate and melt Miles's body away. Miles started screaming, lament about how hurt it is. He mocked Hank for his lack of knowledge of how the army used their comrades' corpse as playthings. He then regret that the last thing he would hear is his own scream, and if he would have been a good doctor if he has not going to war. Hank then shoot him with the Godkiller bullet. Miles said his goodbye to Hank, ask him to come and meet their dead comrades after he have played with Cain enough.

Trivia

• He might be a reference to Chiron, the legendary Centaurus in Greek Mythology. Chiron is also a doctor, and he also died by the poison of the Hydra.
