A Verite Faction staff member teaches students at "The Church" to obey God's teachings and wait for His return.

The religious sect that from the core of the Aletheian Church in Patria and operates its educational mission. The Verite are descended from clerics branded heretics by the Aletheian Church in Gracia over their dissenting interpretation of the scriptures, who then migrated to Patria to escape persecution.

Over the course of many years since the colonial era, their conflict with the Church in Gracia has eased, but they still lack official recognition. They differ specifically in that they hold that after giving man His teachings, God did not return to heaven, but departed deep into the earth’s abyss. This dictum, said to have been discovered by a priest who had had an epiphany, seeped through the cracks of Aletheianism in the New World during a period of discord regarding church leadership, and spread across Patria. Tradition has it that the monk heard the voice of God leaking from a mysterious stone brought from the New World, but the story is apocryphal.

The Aletheian Church holds that the word of God is complete as written and allows no addition or subtraction. The Verite meanwhile ask: ”If we could now hear the voice of God, should we not obey? Should we not find one who can hear it?” This is why they are seen as heretical and why they continue to search for children who can hear the voice of God. The Verites wish to listen to the voice of God not merely through human hands, but in the present, in the flesh, so that they can carryout His will and bring about His second coming. Thanks to the discovery of Elaine Bluelake and the bedlam of the war, they achieved results in the form of the Incarnates.
